Alex Crease
Alex is a product designer and mechanical engineer who always loves making things to teach and inspire! He brings his expertise in materials, manufacturing, marketing and puns to keep Team Valkyrie cheerful and good-looking on BattleBots.
Bam Singhasaneh
Bam is a magical combination of engineer, designer, math teacher, and entrepreneur. She brings 250% energy to the BattleBox and is always ready for a pep talk to get the team pumped to compete!
Leanne Cushing
Leanne is an experienced mechanical engineer with a lifelong robot problem. Her passion for engineering stems from mentoring the next generation of innovators, which fuels her work on Valkyrie.
Regan Tattersfield
Regan is a mechanical design engineer that works on robots of all sizes, mostly for defensive military applications. She has been working on turning her blood into caffeine but somehow always needs a nap. She loves the excitement and the strategic engineering behind each Valkyrie fight.
Lucy Du
Lucy is a robotics engineer with a severe robot addiction. She has designed, machined, and builds all kinds of robots, from assistive prosthetics, to space robots, to combat robots. She uses this experience to design upgrades and lead Team Valkyrie. She’s also Valkyrie’s new pilot!
Esme Abbot
Esme is a mechanical engineering student passionate about understanding how machines interact with people and the larger systems that they are a part of. Esme is still learning how to tolerance drawings and is therefore very well acquainted with the Valkyrie dremel.
John Mayo
John is a robotics mechanical engineer with a passion for space exploration. He has worked on robots in many environments from the subterranean to Mars. This experience helps him ensure Valkyrie is ready to go fight after fight.
George Tan
George is an electrical engineer on paper with a passion for learning and helping people. On the team he’s the electrical guy on the team and ensures Valkyrie doesn’t short-circuit in a fight. Off stage, he spends his spare time teaching kids STEM through robotics.
Morgan Locandro
Morgan is a mechatronics engineer who is inspired to use her skills to support the scientific exploration of our solar system. She got started in FIRST Robotics and hopes to serve as a role model for young women and girls in STEM. Morgan enjoys the energy of the BattleBox and works hard to keep the robot in fighting shape.
